Before a pellet stove can burn cleanly, something has to get the fuel bed hot enough to ignite. The Enviro Pellet Ignitor (part 50-619) is the genuine Enviro component that performs this function, heating pellets in the burn pot until combustion begins on its own. It replaces a worn or failed igniter of the same part number in compatible Enviro pellet appliances.
The igniter applies heat directly to the pellet fuel bed at startup, initiating combustion so the appliance can move into its normal burn cycle. Without a functioning igniter, the stove cannot reliably light on its own.
Check the igniter for visible cracking or an open circuit before replacing it, since a failing unit often causes intermittent or no-light startups rather than a total failure.
When replacing the igniter, it's worth inspecting the burn pot and gasket for buildup or wear, since both affect how reliably the fuel bed ignites and burns.
