Releasing the glass door on a gas fireplace or stove without the right tool can damage the frame or seal. The Enviro Door & Glass Release Tool (part 50-2510) replaces the specialty tool needed to unlatch and remove the glass door on compatible Enviro appliances for cleaning or servicing.

Key Benefits

• Direct-fit replacement for the original Enviro release tool
• Matches the factory latch mechanism with no modification needed
• Genuine Enviro part, not an aftermarket substitute
• Allows safe removal of the glass door for cleaning or gasket inspection

Purpose

Enviro designed a clean, hardware-free look for its glass doors, which means a dedicated tool is required to release the door from its latch for maintenance. This tool performs that specific function.

Other Notes

Check the glass and door gasket each time the door is removed. Cloudy or cracked glass cuts down on radiant heat output and is worth addressing before it becomes a bigger issue.

While the door is off, it's a good time to inspect the door gasket and glass retaining hardware for wear, since both are commonly replaced alongside servicing the glass assembly.
