This flue collar and gasket set is built for Enviro wood inserts, including the Kodiak, Cabello, Boston and Venice lines in their 1200 and 1700 series, and fits 4 compatible models on record. The Enviro Flue Collar with Gasket (50-1148) replaces the worn collar and gasket assembly that connects the stainless liner to the back of the firebox.

Key Benefits

• Maintains a tight liner-to-firebox connection for correct draft and combustion
• Helps keep flue gases and creosote directed up the chimney instead of into the room
• Direct-fit replacement for the listed Enviro wood insert models
• Includes both the collar and the gasket, so no separate gasket purchase is needed

Purpose

The flue collar attaches the stainless steel liner to the back of the firebox and forms the seal that keeps combustion byproducts moving through the chimney system rather than escaping into the surrounding masonry cavity.

Other Notes

Inspect the gasket for cracking, flattening or gaps whenever the liner connection is serviced, since a worn seal at this joint can allow combustion gases to leak into the living space.

While this collar is out, check the door rope gasket and any other door seals on the insert for wear, since they work together to keep the firebox properly sealed during operation.
