The Enviro Q3 Steel Framing Plate (part 50-3144) is a genuine Enviro part for the Enviro Q3 gas fireplace. It fills the air gap above the fireplace in the framing and gives the finish a supporting surface, attaching to the top of the unit with a 1/4 in. hex driver.

Fit

• Fits the Enviro Q3.
• Listed in the parts lists of the Q3L-S, Q3LI-S and 2022 Q3L manuals as the Q3 Framing Plate.
• Includes a nailing flange set that bends out by hand when a second layer of facing, such as tile or stone, is needed.

When to replace it

Because this steel plate carries the facing load above the firebox and is meant to stay in place for the life of the installation, replace it if it has been damaged, bent out of shape, or is missing from the original installation.

Specifications

• Material: steel.
• The Q3L-S manual calls for at least 9 3/4 in. of non-combustible facing above the firebox opening, in front of the framing plate, needed only directly over the opening rather than across the full plate width.

Installation
