Pellets that smolder instead of burning cleanly, or ash that piles up in the burn pot instead of dropping to the ash pan, usually point to a worn or warped burn pot liner. The Enviro 50-587 burn pot liner (also listed as GF55-022) replaces the stainless steel component that houses the pellets as they burn in compatible Enviro pellet stoves.
The burn pot liner holds pellets in place during combustion and allows ash to fall through to the ash pan as intended. Without a sound liner, pellets burn irregularly and ash management breaks down.
Inspect the burn pot liner along with nearby ignition components during routine maintenance. A worn liner can affect how pellets ignite and burn, and catching wear early helps avoid start-up problems.
When replacing this liner, it is worth also inspecting the igniter and ash pan for wear, since these Burn Pots & Igniters components see the same heat and ash exposure over time.
