Built for the Enviro G42, Enviro G50 and Enviro S40, the split flow valve (part 50-3615) is a remote-controlled valve that shuts off one burner section to reduce heat output. It is driven by the Proflame 2 Integrated Fireplace Controller through its wiring harness, and on the G42 it is selected with the Mode key's double flame icon and switched on or off with the up/down keys, leaving the remaining burner's flame setting unchanged.

When to replace it

If split flow mode no longer shuts off the rear burner, stops responding to the remote, or the heat output no longer drops as expected, the valve may be at fault. Gas valve issues should be handled promptly rather than worked around.
