The Enviro G39 Non-Combustible Board (part 50-3635) is a genuine Enviro replacement part made for the Enviro G39 gas fireplace. It mounts above the unit up to the header and is required unless the Cool Surface System has been activated, in which case it is no longer needed. A combustible mantel can be installed over the board within the mantel clearance graph given in the G39 manual.

When to replace it

Replace the board if it has cracked or been damaged during a previous installation, since over-driving a fastener into the board can crack it. A cracked or missing board compromises the clearance it is meant to provide above the unit.
