The Enviro C44 Vertical Heat Shield (part 50-3996) is the genuine replacement vent shield for the Enviro C44 linear gas fireplace. Every C44 installation must include this vertical vent shield, which sits in the vent area above the firebox, while the horizontal vent shield is only used when the unit is horizontally terminated with at least 12 in. of vertical rise.

Fit

• Replaces M-2390. If your manual lists M-2390, this is the part to order.
• Fits the Enviro C44 direct vent linear gas fireplace, natural gas or propane.

When to replace it

Order a replacement if the original vertical vent shield has been damaged, corroded, or lost during servicing, since the C44 manual requires this shield to be in place on every installation.

Specifications

• Minimum clearance of 1 in. must be kept on all sides of the vent pipe.
• In a recess installation, the vertical finishing material at the back of the recess must be spaced 7/8 in. off the vent shield.

Installation

Let the appliance cool completely before removing or installing the vent shield.
