The Front Vent Kit - Louvers (part 50-3966) is a genuine Enviro option that activates the Cool Surface System (CSS) without ducting, giving the Enviro C44 and Urbana U33, U50 and U55 a louvered front-facing vent finish instead of a ducted outlet. It suits installations with enough ceiling clearance to vent directly through the louvers rather than routing air elsewhere.

What it adds

This kit lets the CSS discharge air through a louvered front vent built into the wall opening, rather than through ducting. It requires a ceiling clearance of 96 in. or more; for lower clearances on the C44, Enviro's ducted CSS front vent kit (50-4129) is the one to choose instead.

Fit

• For the C44 with limited ceiling clearance, choose 50-4129, the ducted CSS front vent kit.
• Mount brackets fasten flush to 2x4 framing, with a rough opening of 47 3/4 in. wide by 4 1/2 in. high for the U50-size kit.
• The louver assembly slides into the brackets angled up and is secured with four supplied 1/4-20 x 1 in. bolts using a 7/16 in. socket.
• An optional finishing bezel fits into the louver assembly and can be painted to match the wall.
