The screen is installed by the manufacturer to help protect users from the hot glass and sits on four mounting brackets in front of the fireplace opening.

When to replace it

Replace the screen if it is cracked, warped, or no longer seats securely on its four mounting brackets, since it is the barrier between the room and the hot glass front.

Installation

Let the appliance cool completely before removing or installing the screen, grasping it with both hands at the bottom and lifting it up and outward off the mounting brackets.
