Built for the Enviro Sonnet Gas Insert, this handheld remote replaces the transmitter half of the original 50-2165 receiver and remote set. The Enviro Sonnet Gas Insert Remote Control (50-2165) replaces the worn handheld transmitter in compatible Enviro appliances. It ships new and is sold separately from the receiver, since handheld and receiver pairing depends on the vintage of your fireplace.

Purpose

The handheld sends commands to the receiver mounted in the appliance, letting you adjust temperature, flame height and pilot function without reaching into the firebox.

Key Benefits

• Restores full remote control over flame height and heat output
• Returns fine temperature control for more efficient operation
• Direct replacement for the original Sonnet handheld transmitter
• Ships new, ready to sync with a compatible receiver

Other Notes

If the remote stops responding, check batteries in both the handheld and receiver before assuming a hardware failure — most no-response issues trace back to one or the other. A battery pack extender is also worth considering, since it keeps corrosion away from the receiver's internal contacts and can extend signal range.

When replacing this handheld, it's worth inspecting the paired receiver and the battery compartments in both units for corrosion or wear, since remote-control issues often involve more than one component.
