Delayed ignition, a pilot flame that won't hold, or a main burner that refuses to open after the pilot lights are signs the pilot assembly needs attention on the Enviro Q4 gas fireplace. The SIT IPI Pilot Assembly with round hood and flame sensor, part 50-2010, is the genuine Enviro replacement for this component, installed beneath the log burner, and it splits the flame to light the burner while the flame sensor confirms the pilot is lit and signals the main valve to open.

When to replace it

If ignition is delayed, if the main burner fails to open after the pilot lights, or if the pilot hood is not seated solidly against its spring and indexing notch, the assembly is not completing its job correctly and should be replaced to keep ignition and combustion working as designed.
