The vacuum switch monitors airflow in the power vent circuit and acts as a safety switch, so the pilot won't try to light unless the power vent is doing its job. Fit

• Listed in the parts lists for the Urbana horizontal, vertical and high-output horizontal power vent manuals.
• Wires into the fireplace controller's harness through the 5-wire power vent cable, using the red and brown pressure-switch leads.
• Mounts vertical, not angled, inside the power vent cap, with the silicone hose on the port furthest from the electrical connections and the middle spade connector left unused.

When to replace it

If the power vent blower runs but the pilot never tries to light, Enviro's troubleshooting guide points to the vacuum switch circuit, and swapping the switch is one of the listed fixes to get the pilot lighting and the room heating evenly again.
