A pilot flame that won't catch or lights late often points to a worn or wrong-size pilot orifice. The EC-019 is Enviro's threaded natural gas pilot orifice (injector), used in the pilot assembly of the Enviro EG28, Q4 and Westport.

Fit

• Fits the Enviro EG28, including the EG28 BV and EG28 DV, as well as the EG40 BV.
• Fits Enviro Q4 and all Westport Steel fireplace models.
• Natural gas only; propane units use the separate LP-threaded orifice, part EC-020.
• Used in the fully assembled pilot NG kit, part EC-015.

When to replace it

Replace this orifice when the pilot flame is weak, delayed, or won't stay lit, since the correct natural gas sizing is what keeps the pilot flame consistent. Enviro's manuals note that a pilot hood that isn't seated properly can also cause delayed ignition, so refitting the hood correctly after the swap matters as much as the orifice itself.
