The ash pan collects spent ash from the firebox so it can be lifted out and emptied rather than scooped by hand, keeping the firebox and ash compartment clear for proper combustion. This is the Ash Pan, part 50-1646, a genuine Enviro part for the Enviro Maxx (MAXX-1/MAXX-B).

Fit

• Sits behind the lower door, accessed by lifting the latch on the right side and opening the ash box door.
• For the ash pan cover, choose 50-1647.
• For the ash pan gasket, choose EF-208.

When to replace it

The manual calls for the ash pan to be checked and emptied weekly, with the unit off while it is out, to keep ash from building up and affecting combustion. Replace the pan if it is cracked, warped, or no longer seats properly in the compartment. Never place unburned or new pellets in the ash pan.

Installation

Let the appliance cool completely before removing or replacing the ash pan.
