Fitting the Enviro M55, Enviro Maxx (MAXX-1/MAXX-B) and Enviro Omega, the Motor Drive Sprocket (part 50-1700) is a genuine Enviro part that drives the burn pot agitator through the drive chain assembly. On these stoves the agitator waits ten minutes after start-up, then pulses on the same interval as the feed auger, and runs continuously on shutdown for five minutes in premium and multi-fuel modes or one minute in regular mode.

Fit

• Listed in the M55 steel freestanding, cast iron freestanding and cast iron insert manuals, including the M55FS-2, M55C-FS-2 and M55C-FPI-2.
• For the agitator drive shaft, choose part 50-1698.
• For the drive chain, choose part 50-2059.

When to replace it

If the agitator fails to turn, Enviro's troubleshooting guidance calls for checking that the agitator is locked onto the drive shaft and not jammed, then inspecting the drive chain assembly and gear motor for damage. A worn or damaged sprocket in that chain is a common point of failure behind that symptom, and replacing it helps keep the agitator drive turning reliably over the long run.
