When the burn pot agitator on an Enviro M55 stops turning or starts skipping its pulse cycle, a worn or damaged drive chain is one of the first things to check. The Enviro M55 Drive Chain (part 50-2059) is the chain that drives the burn pot agitator on the Enviro M55, connecting the motor drive sprocket to the agitator drive shaft and sprocket, which are separate parts.
Enviro's M55 troubleshooting guidance points here when the agitator fails to turn: first check that the agitator is locked onto the drive shaft and not jammed, then inspect the drive chain assembly and gear motor for damage. A worn or damaged chain in that assembly is a common reason the agitator stops cycling reliably.
Let the appliance cool completely before working on the agitator drive assembly.
