This heat shield is a genuine Enviro replacement for the Kodiak 1200 and 1700 Flat Top wood stoves, sold by Sherwood Industries, the maker of Enviro stoves and fireplaces. The Enviro Heat Efficiency Shield (part 50-1088) fits over the top of these flat-top stoves to allow reduced clearances to combustibles.

Purpose

It reduces required clearance to combustibles on ceiling, corner, and wall surfaces, letting the stove sit closer to nearby framing and finishes than it could without the shield in place.
