The Enviro EX35 is the fit for the natural gas to propane conversion kit, part 50-3456, which converts the EX35I gas insert from natural gas operation to propane. The kit supplies the components needed to change the fuel orifice and regulate gas pressure for correct combustion on propane, and covers pre-2020 EX35 units.

Fit

• Fits the Enviro EX35 (EX35I) as printed on the unit's rating plate.
• The propane-to-natural-gas kit is a separate part, so this kit is for natural gas to propane conversion only.
• On these units the pilot is converted with a slider rather than a new pilot orifice, turned a quarter turn counter-clockwise with a 7/16 in. wrench to the LP position marked by an indicating hole.

When to replace it

This kit is needed whenever an EX35 insert is being switched from natural gas to propane service, so the burner and pilot are set up for correct combustion on the new fuel supply.

What's in the kit

• Burner orifice for propane (LP #51 DMS)
• Servo regulator with diaphragm
• Instruction sheet
• Two conversion labels

Installation

This kit involves gas components, so installation should be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local codes, with the gas supply shut off before electrical power is disconnected.
