Cracked, fogged, or chipped door glass is usually the first sign this part needs attention, especially once the gasket seal starts to let smoke past the door. The Glass with Gasket (part 50-1468) is the genuine Enviro ceramic glass panel for the Enviro Empress and Enviro Milan, built for units made after May 2006, and it forms the viewing window and door seal on the firebox. It measures about 18-1/2 in. by 13-3/4 in. and includes a 6 ft. length of gasket.

When to replace it

Replace the glass if it is cracked or broken; the stove should not be operated with damaged glass. A worn or compressed gasket that no longer holds a tight seal against the door frame is also a sign the assembly needs replacing.
