If the firebox pressure reads off after months of use, the slider damper's set collars may have shifted from their original position. The Slider Damper Set Collar Kit (part 50-1068) is the Enviro replacement for this component on the Enviro Empress, Enviro Maxx (MAXX-1/MAXX-B) and Enviro Meridian, where the slider damper regulates the combustion air to the fire.

When to replace it

Replace the collars when the slider damper no longer holds its set position, since they are what lock the damper at the airflow setting established during installation.

Fit

• Fits the Enviro Empress, Enviro Maxx (MAXX-1/MAXX-B) and Enviro Meridian, as listed on Enviro's parts and where-used documentation.
• For the Empress slider damper plate, choose 50-1367.
• For the slider damper rod with knob, choose EF-050.

Installation

Let the appliance cool completely first; setting the slider damper position is performed by a qualified service technician or installer using a pressure gauge in the firebox.
