When the comfort fan stops cycling on schedule, runs at the wrong speed, or the ember lights and top light stop responding to the remote, the AUX300 auxiliary module is usually the reason. The Dexen AUX300 auxiliary control module (part 50-4155) is a genuine Enviro part for the models listed below, and it controls the comfort fan through a built-in timer and rheostat along with two auxiliary outputs, AUX1 for ember lights and AUX2 for the top light or a power vent, depending on the appliance.

Fit

• Replaces AUX300. If your manual lists AUX300, this is the part to order.
• For the ignition control side of the same Dexen 8K1N system, choose 50-4154.
• Pairs with a 6VDC power supply and supports battery backup through a 4 x AA battery pack so the fireplace keeps running through a power outage, though the fan and auxiliary outputs stop until power returns.

When to replace it

If the fan no longer starts on high for its initial run before settling to the chosen speed, doesn't hold its 12-minute delay after shutoff, or the ember and top lights stop switching with the remote, replacing this module restores that fan's even movement of warm air through the room.
