The auger shaft turns inside the feed tube to carry pellets from the hopper down to the burn pot, and a worn or bent shaft is a common cause of erratic feed rates. This Enviro auger shaft (part EF-025, also listed as 50-1346) replaces the original shaft in pre-2008 Meridian, EF2 and EF3 stoves.
Inside the feed system, this shaft rotates to move pellets from the hopper toward the burn pot at a controlled rate. A damaged or worn shaft can cause uneven feeding, reduced flame quality, or auger jams.
Inspect the auger motor and feed tube for wear at the same time, since a failing shaft often points to strain elsewhere in the feed drive.
Related Parts: while replacing the auger shaft, check the auger motor, hopper feed tube, and any auger bushings or bearings for wear, since these components share the same load path.
